Yes you can use the X-axis instead of the Y-axis. Just chose to use the Y-axis because of the way I had my table setup. I have read that the x50 has different stepper motors and ball screw than x35. Is this only on the X axis? Or are all the stepper motors different. Looking at an older x35 woodworker.
